These tours are appropriate for average active travellers with a reasonable good condition. Participants probably own a mountain bike back home and know how to share the road with traffic.
Our guides will feel how participants are doing and may adapt the route and riding style accordingly.
We bring our bikes to your hotel from where we start the tour.

WARNING: We are Mountain Bikers. With all due respect, we do not offer tours on granny bikes here.

Lima Bayfront & Morro Solar mountain, daily departures.

This tour starts at your hotel in Miraflores. Our warm-up exists of us heading from Miraflores toward the bohemian district of Barranco along the "Malecon", including some short single trails etc. Barranco is especially reknown for its vibrant nightlife but also during the day worth a visit to see some great colonial architecture and some nice views over the Pacific Ocean. We have two more short stops at a lookout and "bridge of sighs".

From Barranco we start heading toward our main goal, the "Solar Mountain" in the district of Chorillos. Here we have several single tracks to choose from or also a more adventurous downhill section, from which the easiest line is also apt for cross country riders (only for the technically skilled participants). The views from the highest point on the Solar Mountain over Lima are impressive. Before enjoying those however we will have to climb approx. 265 m/870 ft with our bikes, which will probably be the most exhausting section of our outing.

After getting the energy out on the many tracks we start heading back to the hotel in Miraflores either following the bike lane along the sea shore of the "Costa Verde", maybe with a visit to the fish market and have a look at some of the surf schools on the way. Or we can return to Miraflores the same way we have come from, passing Barranco - by now, we can visit an organic store and pick up some organically grown fruit, chocolates, pecan brownies, coffee, ...
