At 8:00 you will be picked up from your ho(s)tel and drive to Pitek.
Here begins our approximately 3 to 3 1/2-hour hike to Lake Churup. From here we hike on the left side of the river that springs from the Laguna Churup. Soon we arrive at some small but steep rockformation, which is overcome by easy climbing. Those who are somewhat sure-footed will not have any difficulties here. This is followed by a short flat passage, where beautiful andean shrubs and trees grow.

Now begins the last challenge of the ascent: the final climb to the lake - over rocks and partly to the other side of the waterfall. This stage is also easy to handle with a little sure-footedness.
After 3 - 3.5 hours hike, the glorious turquoise-blue shimmering Laguna Churup at 4450 m altitude will be reached. Here we are looking for a nice place to rest and rest. Time for photos and to enjoy!

Slowly we now think of the descent, which runs on the already known route. We can enjoy the panorama of the Cordillera Negra on the other side of the Rio Santa, and see Huaraz from a bird's-eye view. Arrived in Pitek, our transport brings us back to Huaraz, where we arrive at about 16:30.
